In 2000, she retired as Director of Nursing for Hunter Medical Services of the Greater Metropolitan DC area. While in her sixties, Betty took up snow skiing and enjoyed drum corps competitions, gardening, reading, cross-stitching, traveling, cooking and loved being with her children and grand-children. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, who died Dec. 7, 2008; and brother, Robert Meyer, who died in May 2006.
