Frederick Glaeser Obituary

GLAESER JR., FREDERICK JOHN of Hagerstown, Md, formerly of Anne Arundel County, MD, passed away on December 31, 2010; beloved husband of Pat (nee Vogel); devoted father of Fred Glaeser, III, his wife Amy, Colette Lewis, her husband Tad, and Tricia Blachowicz, her husband John; loving stepfather of Frank Spasaro, Jr., his wife Paula and Kim Spasaro Thumel; proud grandfather of eleven. Also survived by his sister, Yvonne Haberkorn, her husband William, his brother, Warren Glaeser and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Born on June 21, 1940 to the late Frederick Glaeser, Sr. and Rita Glaeser (nee Bauer). While still in high school, Fred formed the popular band, Fred Glaeser's Blue Notes. As Chief, Bureau of Highways, Fred retired in 1995 after 35 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Anne Arundel County. Fred was a loyal, active member of the Masonic Order and the Tall Cedars of Glen Burnie. He was also a faithful, committed member of St. Andrews UMC of Hagerstown. Family requests friends call at GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE, P.A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy on Wednesday January 5, 2011 from 12 noon til 1:00 PM. Interment to follow services in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

I owe my career to Fred he hired me at Ann Arundel Co worked for 30 years because of him, I am retired and moved to Florida and just heard of your loss, may the happy memories get you thru this difficult time. Pat I don't know if you remember me but my prayers are with you. Jake the tree man
