John Ontko Obituary

John Joseph Ontko, 77, of Gambrills, Maryland, passed away on February 12, 2024, surrounded by his family. John was born on December 2, 1946, to John and Ann Ontko in Johnson City, NY. John studied Hotel/Restaurant Management and Architecture at Cornell University. John graduated with a degree in Hotel Administration and was a Hotel Management Consultant for the United States Navy, and a Hospitality Specialist/Construction Consultant for the Department of the Army. In 2006, John retired and spent his time golfing, fishing, and at the beach with his family. John was a loving and devoted husband and father. Married for 49 years to his wife Pamela, they have two children, Kathryn Louise and Kelly Elizabeth, their granddaughter Keira, and their dog Sofie. He is also survived by numerous cousins. Arrangements will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Maryland Food Bank, an organization John felt strongly about.
