Judith Rose Deuringer

1943 - 2023

Judith Rose Deuringer, 79, passed away on July 25, 2023 with her loving daughters Ursula Ford and Kimberly Kinner by her side. She was born in 1943 in Bronx, New York, but grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and graduated from DuPoint HighSchool. In 1962, she married the love of her life, George Deuringer. They lived in Silver Spring, MD until their move to Severna Park, Maryland in 1966 where they settled and raised their family. Judy volunteered at the girls' schools and led their girl scout troops until she began working for the Department of Legislative Service, providing support to the General Assembly. She also enjoyed summers sailing on the "Judy-D" with her favorite captain (and husband) George and making memories at Rehoboth Beach with family and friends. During retirement, Judy enjoyed traveling with George to his homeland, Germany, and exploring new sites, home and abroad. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and being "Oma," as her grandchildren lovingly called her. Her unconditional love and unwavering support were matched only by her huge heart. She is survived by her brother, Russ Horne and sister-in-law Shirley Horne, 5 grandchildren, Brady, Corey, Megan, Katelyn, and Kendall; and two son-in-laws, Dave Ford and Buddy Kinner. Judy is preceded in death by her husband Franz George Deuringer of 56 years and her brother Kenneth Horne. A celebration of life will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 Rowe Blvd, Annapolis, MD 21401, on August 17, 2023 at 6:00 pm followed by a reception at the church. *Please note that the sanctuary in the church will not have air conditioning but the parlor for reception will have air conditioning.
