Louise Smith Obituary



Louise M. Smith, 92, a 56 year resident of Annapolis, December 25, 2015 at Riva Terrace 2 in Annapolis. She was born September 18, 1922 in Easton and was a graduate of Easton High School. She worked as an operator with AT&T. Louise was a longtime and faithful member of the Anne Arundel County Library Association, was a volunteer for the Maryland Library Association in Baltimore, a longtime docent at Londontowne, a regent for the Peggy Stewart Chapter of the DAR and was past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star #69. Among her hobbies were flowers and arranging daffodils. Preceded in death by husband, Emerson Smith, she is survived by her children, Stephen Smith of Pinehurst, NC, Michael Smith of Austin, TX and Deborah Smith Chambers of Annapolis, and her grandchildren, Taylor Smith of Austin and Travis Smith of Clayton, NC. There will be a celebration of life on Sat. Jan. 10th, 11am at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1101 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Anne Arundel SPCA and Hospice of the Chesapeake.

Louise will always be remembered as a loving friend and helpful neighbor to us. She and her loving husband, Emerson,aka "Smitty", lived a long and happy life on Janice Dr. We will always remember Louise for her love of all animals. She will be sorely missed!
