Michael Bat Obituary
Mr. Bat was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.
He retired as a logistics manager for Raytheon Co.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park.
Mr. Bat traveled extensively with his wife throughout his military and civilian career, and loved fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Bat.
Survivors include one son, Michael A. Bat of Germantown; one daughter, Deborah Ann Clancy of Finksburg; and one sister, Olga Stefanick of Launga Woods, Calif.
Family and friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Lung Association, Executive Plaza 1, Suite 600, 11350 McCormick Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
