Michael Mileo Obituary

Michael Ernest "Mike" Mileo, 70, a 25-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Kettering, died of throat cancer on November 28 at his home. Born August 14, 1943 in Washington, DC to the late Anthony and Bessie Mileo, Mike was a graduate of Northwestern High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and then made a career in sales at Sears, Sport Chevrolet and most recently Fitzgerald Mazda. Mike was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed baseball, football, golfing, fishing and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Mileo, and brother, Anthony Mileo. Mike is survived by his wife of almost 44 years, Marguerite Louise Mileo; son, Michael Cook of Annapolis; brother, Vincent Ralph Mileo of Maryland; and sister, Dolores Orendorf of Gambrills. Friends are invited to Mike's Life Celebration from 9:30 a.m. until a prayer service begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 6, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122. An online guestbook is available at: www.kalasfuneralhomes.com.
