Lifelong Annapolitan Paul Lawrence Borssuck, passed away on October 13. Paul was born and raised in Annapolis and graduated from the Gilman School in Baltimore. He went on to obtain both his undergraduate and MBA from Lehigh University and had a distinguished career in Finance retiring from Investment Counselors of Maryland in 2013. Paul is a Bronze Star recipient of the Vietnam War where he served from 1969-1970 in the Corps of Engineers. Paul's real passion was boating and in-between racing his J/24 Riff Raff and cruising Triple Play, he enjoyed working with the various sailing clubs in Annapolis. Paul was a member of Severn Sailing Association (65+ years), Sailing Club of the Chesapeake (10+ years) and Annapolis Yacht Club (30+ years) where he most recently served on the Race and Finance Committees. Paul's friends will remember him well as the creator and organizer of the infamous Friday night "Poker Lake" rendezvous. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Samuel and Charlotte Borssuck of Annapolis. He leaves behind Jo Anne Weimer (42 years) and his sister Hallee Humler (John) of Springfield, VT, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Annapolis Yacht Club Foundation or the Annapolis SPCA. A celebration of Paul's life will be scheduled at a future date.

Joanne, so sorry for your loss. Our loss. Paul, and you, were a direct reason I met my wife of 35 years now, had a tremendous run racing J24s locally and internationally and a 24 year career at Mercantile Bank. Thanks to both of you. Petra and I will miss Paul and his passion for sailing and the Chesapeake Bay. Guy
