Paul Sautter Obituary

Paul L Sautter of Chestertown Maryland passed away surrounded by family on September 28, 2025, at his home. He was the husband of Pamela Sautter. Paul was born in Gilbertsville Pennsylvania to the late Herbert K and Rosalin F Sautter after graduating from Schwenksville high school he graduated from your Ursinus college and attended doctorate study at Stevens Institute of Technology. He went on to travel the world for his job at Illinois Institute of Technology where he worked on advanced weapon systems for the US Government. He was a direct descendent of two patriots Samuel Chase signer of the declaration of independence and Commodore, Joshua Barney Naval hero during the American revolution in the war of 1812. In addition to his wife of 28 years he was survived by his children Tim Sautter of Bowie, Maryland and Corey Sautter of Chestertown, Maryland stepson Darin McCauley of Annapolis, Maryland, Sister Donna Moore, wife of Dr. Gregory Moore of Caledonia, Pennsylvania, two grandchildren Trinity McCauley and Quinn McCauley and stepmother Margie Ensminger as well as nephews and nieces, we are all saddened by his loss. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Robert and his infant brother. Paul's hobbies included watching, coaching and playing soccer Playing pickle ball with friends and taking long walks with his dog Cody. He loved to read and write, and he entertained us all with his quick wit. We admired his positivity during years of a serious illness, truly inspirational for us all.
