Richard Cohee Obituary



Richard "Dick" Arlen Cohee Sr, 80, passed away peacefully in his home in Ruskin, Florida on February 18, 2016. Dick was born June 15, 1935 in Washington D.C. He grew up in College Park and University Park. He also resided in Laurel and Severna Park. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Welch Cohee, six children, Rick Jr, Joanne Richards, Don, Mike, Bruce and Brian, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Dick attended DeMatha Catholic High School, Hyattsville and University of Maryland College Park. He spent his entire career in the Household Transportation & Relocation industries. He managed offices for both Security Storage of Washington and Suddath Relocation Systems of Jacksonville, FL. He was a role model for all those who worked under his guidance. When not working at his desk, Dick would be found in his Captain's chair boating on the Chesapeake Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. He was always involved in various yacht clubs and had the privilege of christening the new dock at their residence in Ruskin Florida. He has passed this love down to many of his children. Dick was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Ruskin, Fl and a former member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. Interment will be private. Expressions of love and sympathy may be sent to Lifespath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609.
