Mr. Teixeira was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Cushman) Teixeira, in 1987; and two sisters, Sheila Damron of Reno, NV and Patricia Richens of Paget, Bermuda. He is survived by his sons, Leonard Davis Teixeira (Sharon) of Omaha, NE, John Gordon Teixeira (Margaret) of Severna Park, MD and Peter Cushman Teixeira (Tacey) of Oviedo, FL; his sisters, Gertrude Fricker of Princeton Junction, NJ and Edmee Goveia of Markham, Canada; his brother, Richard Teixeira of Kailua, HI, as well as seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stan and his sister Trudy were my next door neighbors when I was a little girl in West Windsor. I was kind of the community kid, and I was always wandering into their home to hang out with the two of them- and I was always welcome! I still remember Trudy always filling me full of whatever sweets and snacks they had on hand, and sitting with Stan on the sofa watching tv and flipping through photo albums. Stan had the biggest heart, and he and his sister had a huge, lifelong effect on a little girl who will never forget him, as her first best friends. I hope you´re resting easy, Stan

So sorry to hear of his passing. Stanley was a TRUE gentleman, with such a kind and comforting way. I will miss him greatly. He and Carol can now smile again together. Sincerely, Star

One of the great regrets of my life is that a combination of distance and a longstanding sibline feud between Stanley's wife Carol and dad meant that I never got to spend much time with Uncle Stan. But thank God Dad and his sister mended fances so I did get to know my uncle at least a little. I found him an absoutely delightful man -- gentle, wise, loving, with a wonderfully wry sense of humor. And he was certainly the proudest of fathers -- with good reason -- of three wonderful sons -- not to mention all the 'grands' and the 'greats'.
I only hope he is being welcomed to the reward he so richly deserves for in his case, I think this Bible quote richly applies: 'Well done thou good and faithful servant!
Love,
Annie
