Thomas Francis Miller

1931 - 2022

Thomas Francis Miller dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away in Ormond Beach, Florida on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the great age of 91. He was born on July 22, 1931 in the Ballston area of Arlington County, Virginia. After graduating from Washington Lee High School he married Jacquelyn Kloeber. In 1954 they moved to the town of Shady Side, Maryland which he always called home. He served two years in an army reserve unit during the Korean War. In 1962 he started an electrical contracting company, Thomas Miller Electric, which is still active today with the office in Calvert County, Maryland. After a divorce, he married Jacqueline Kirchner Quinn which ended by her death in 1996. Known as Tommy by everyone, he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating, and raising a garden every year. He especially enjoyed working at the community garden, God's Bounty, on his son's farm in Dunkirk, Maryland. His favorite sports were baseball and football and he liked watching them on television. In the year 2000, he married his present wife, Joyce Mauk. He is survived by his present wife, Joyce Mauk, and his four children; Thomas Kemp and wife Bonnie Whittington, Scott William and his wife Susan Miller, Donna Lyn and her husband Chris Gannon, and Jody Beth and her husband Joe Aulisio. Tommy was blessed with a large family with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He touched the hearts of many and will be missed dearly. Please join his family in a celebration of his life. A visitation will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hardesty Funeral Home, 905 Galesville Road, Galesville, Maryland. A funeral service will be held at Hardesty Funeral Home on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodfield Cemetery, Galesville Road, Galesville, Maryland.
