Walter Finnegan Obituary



Walter Gordon Finnegan Jr., 74, passed peacefully on July 23,2015. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Finnegan. Gordon was born on February 3, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to Walter Gordon Finnegan Sr. and Katherine G. Sass.Things that Gordon enjoyed were spending time with his family, going fishing, playing cards, and just having a good time. Gordon ran a drywall company for many years. Gordon was a resident of Pasadena for over thirty years. Gordon was a hard working man but that never stopped him from making people around him laugh. Gordon is survived by his son, Gordon W. Finnegan III, his daughter Diana Mills, and son-in-law Ray Mills. Grandchildren include Krystle Jenkins, Gordon W. Finnegan IV, Travis Finnegan, Christopher Mills, and Conner Mills. Great-Grandchildren include Tori Culton, Kayla Culton, Brandon Culton, and Aydeen Finnegan. Siblings include Marian G. Krepple, Joesph D. Finnegan, Sharon R. Lawyer, and Robert W. Hayden Sr. Nieces and Nephews include David Krepple, Theresa Lawyer, Charlie Lawyer, Rob Hayden Jr., and Amanda Hayden. Great- Nieces and Nephews include Shannon Muller, Jessica Krepple, Samantha Krepple, Macy Lawyer, Jimmy Smitley, Robbie Hayden III, and Sophia Hayden. Graveside Service will be held July 30th, 2015 at 12:00pm at Cedar Hill cemetery. "We should all strive to be the man Walt was."

We had many good conversations while he was telling me how to clean his house lol, uncle G was a perfectionist he wanted to make sure I was doing my job right. definitely the funniest man I ever known, he always knew how to make you laugh no matter what mood you were in, I love you an you will be greatly missed

As I sit here blank for words...all I can say is the memories we shared I will always cherish in my heart. From the stories of growing up, to telling me when I pay my own bills I'll shop at the dollar store and....you were right, but just being able to sit down and learn and thing or two from you even if you explained it in zork language! I love you so much G you were definitely the best/coolest uncle any girl could have! It's not goodbye it's see you later!
