Correne Petersen, 95, of Pierre, passed peacefully on Sept 14, 2025 at Avera St. Mary's Hospital with family by her side after having a stroke.
Funeral Services: 3 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2025 at Feigum Funeral Home with visitation an hour prior from 2 to 3 p.m. Interment: 1:30 p.m. MST, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis. Correne's service may be viewed online and her full life story is available at www.feigumfh.com. And as Correne would always end a conversation, "God Bless You".

What a wonderful librarian she was when I was in middle school in Pierre. She left a lasting memory. She was the best along with Mrs. Brown. She had the best personality to be around kids. We listened to her. She just had a great way of handling everyone. I am so sad to hear of her passing. I am wishing you all peace, comfort, and strength during this difficult time. She was a gem and was well loved by her students. Rest in Peace Mrs. Petersen.
