IDA GAGE Obituary

IDA REA (WILSON) GAGE Ida Rea (Wilson) Gage a resident of the Dean Community in Carroll County Arkansas was born October 26, 1948, in Metalton, Arkansas, a daughter of Frank and Lillie (Ramsey) Wilson. She departed this life on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in Springdale, Arkansas at the age of 74. On April 13, 1970, she and Jimmy C. Gage were married. Ida was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Metalton United Baptist Church which she attended from her childhood until her health no longer permitted. She loved singing with and teaching the young children in Sunday School, Bible School and Bible Camp. Her home was always open to her many nieces and nephews and other children. She was a talented singer and musician. She is survived by one brother, Don (Jane) Wilson of Metalton; two sisters, Linda (Cecil) Armer of Dean and Loretta Ross of Berryville; several nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Van-noy Wilson, Mildred Wilson and Adine Wilson; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded by her husband and parents; brothers, Verlin, Tom, Dearl, Gary, infant JC; sisters, Verna Fancher, Lucy Root, infant Mary Lou; one sister-in-law; three brothers-in-law; two nieces; one nephew; one great niece. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Gobbler Church with Brother Jerry Spurlock and Brother Ed Ledbetter officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Gobbler Cemetery, c/o Kathy Bunch, 914 CR 501, Berryville, AR 72616. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
