Arlene L. Geppi

1937 - 2022

Arlene Louise Geppi (nee Kriete), 85 of Sykesville, MD passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Atlee Hill nursing home in Westminster, MD. She was the beloved wife of Philip Vincent Geppi for 63 years. Arlene was born October 30, 1937, in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Howard Kriete and the late Kathleen Kriete (nee Smedley). She was the head Volleyball Coach from 1979 – 1984 at Towson State University and then the Head Softball Coach from 1984-1986 at Towson State University and was the 1984 Towson Female Coach of the year. Arlene was involved in many sports organizations: High School & College Volleyball Official, youth & Jr. Olympic Volleyball Official and a member of the Professional Association of Volleyball Officials. She played volleyball & softball and was an avid Baltimore Orioles Fan. Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter Amy Geppi & husband Barry Rubenstein, and granddaughter Lily Hope Rubenstein. Also survived by her siblings Beverly Griffith and Charles Kriete and her dog Shadow. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later. Interment will be private.
