Barbara K. Hornung

Barbara Kay Hornung, 70, of Reisterstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at Future Care Cherrywood Nursing Home in Reisterstown. Born June 9, 1939, in North Carolina, she was the daughter of Mary Smith Voss and the late Robert Voss. She was the wife of William A. Hornung, who died in 2004. She was a registered nurse and had worked at Sinai, Union Memorial and other hospitals. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reisterstown. She donated her time with the Maryland Special Olympics. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are sons Robert W. and Donald G. Hornung, both of Reisterstown; and other relatives and friends. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service, 4 p.m. Monday, at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, with the Rev. Timothy P. Feaser officiating.
