Charles Dolt

Charles Dolt, born September 7, 1935, in Saxton PA died on September 19, 2024, at Carroll Hospital Center at the age of 89. He retired as a superintendent of bridge construction, last employed by Allied Construction. Following high school he served in the Army in Korea. His lifelong hobbies included metal detecting, coin and bottle collecting. In addition, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved helping people and teaching others about his hobbies. He was an honorary lifetime member of the Maryland Artifact Recovery Society. (MARS) He leaves behind a son, COL Christopher Dolt (Sandy) and daughters Patricia Dolt (Wayne) and Sonya Higgs. Brother Phillip (Becky) Dolt, sisters Francis ((Gordon deceased) Stauffer Martha Dolt and Flora Jane Howsare. 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased in death are his wife Judith, parents Joseph and Virginia Dolt, brother Glenn Dolt and sister Lena (Jackson) Heister and 1 great-great grandson. He Was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother and friend to many. He will be greatly missed and always remembered by all who knew him A private visitation was held at Burrier-Queen.
