Charles Melvin Harden

Charles Melvin Harden, 75, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at his daughter's home. Born on October 7, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Franklin Harden, Jr., and Helen Irene Bosley Harden. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine Darlene Harden, who passed away in 2012. Years ago, Charles worked as a machinist for MD Cup, and later retired from AIM. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Charles enjoyed CB Radios, yard sales, and above all else, spending time with his granddaughter and family dog Precious. Surviving him are his children: Todd Eric Harden and companion Susan Curry of Hanover, PA, Scott Allen Harden of Manchester, MD and companion Karen McMaster of McSherrystown, PA, and Angie Elaine Fuhrman and husband Will of Hanover, PA, granddaughter: Hailey Grace Fuhrman, and twin sister: Helen Irene Bell and husband Walt of Jacobus, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother: Robert Franklin Harden. The family will receive visitors on Monday, November 15, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 16, at 10 am.
