Colleen Ballant Obituary



Colleen M. Ballant, 63, of Hampstead, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

Born in Harrisburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Helena Papandrea Kasak, of Woodbine and the late Maxwell Palmer. She was the wife of Arthur F. Ballant Jr., her husband of 30 years.

She was a 1968 graduate of Parkville High School in Baltimore. She owned and operated her own real estate sales business until her retirement.

Surviving, in addition to her mother and husband, a daughter, Lindsay H. Ballant, of San Francisco, Calif.; sisters Lou Ann Palmer, of California and Victoria L. Palmer, of Woodbine; a brother, Walter Kasak, of Elkridge; adn a nephew, Robert L. Fultz II, of Woodbine.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian burial, noon Friday at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg, Pa., with the Rev. Edward J. Quinlan as celebrant. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Harrisburg.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Height, NY 10598.

Arrangements are by Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory in Harrisburg.
