1990 - 2021

David Brian Groomes, 30, of Taneytown MD, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 11, 2021, at his residence. Born October 19, 1990, in Baltimore MD, he was the beloved son of James Donnell Groomes and Krunchetta Vanessa Groomes of Taneytown MD. David will be deeply missed by his one true love Tara Caple. From that union they were blessed with their son, Adarius Brian Groomes. David attended Francis Scott Key High school in Union Bridge MD. He was passionate about playing sports, music, his family, and spending time with his son. He was a mentor to the children in the neighborhood. They all called him "Uncle Doe." David was a natural entertainer and lit up every room he walked in with his bright smile and obnoxious laugh. David was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Ernestine "Tator" Elaine Morris and paternal grandfather, James David Groomes. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his son, Adarius Brian Groomes of Frederick MD; sisters, Tasheena Groomes of Frederick MD and Alisha Richardson of Taneytown MD; brothers, Trevor Groomes of Hagerstown MD, Javon Groomes, Traevon Briscoe, and Troy Groomes of Taneytown MD; 4 nieces, 5 nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD and on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 11 am until the time of his Homegoing Service at noon with Bishop Ross Jackson officiating.
