Donald Dedmon

Donald A. Dedmon, age 92, of Taneytown, died on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Born July 30, 1931 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Marvin Lee and Daisy Kathrine (Warlick) Dedmon. He was the loving husband of the late Nancy Lou (Scott) Dedmon, his wife of 55 years before her passing in 2008. Donald was a steamfitter in Baltimore before retirement. He loved the ocean, fishing, and trips to Montana. He was a member of the Monocacy Valley Lodge #203, VFW Post 467 and American Legion Post 31. Donald cherished the time he spent with his family. Surviving are his children, Kathy L. Ohler and husband Jeffrey of Taneytown, Judith A. Dell and husband Gary C. Dell of Westminster, Mark S. Dedmon of Taneytown, Donald W. Dedmon and wife Angela of Taneytown; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Daisy; his beloved wife Nancy; son, David L. Dedmon; daughter, Sherri A. Dedmon; and brother Everett Lee Dedmon. The family will receive friends at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787 on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A masonic service will be held at 7:30pm. A funeral will be held at 11am on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
