Edward "Eddo" Carroll

Edward "Eddo" Carroll, 75, of Littlestown, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at home. Born December 11, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Homer and Edna Carroll. He was the husband of Suzanne M. Carroll (nee Cooke). After graduating high school in 1964, the Cleveland native joined the Air Force, working as an air traffic controller. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, Ed worked as an assistant equipment manager for the Cleveland Browns. From 1984 to 1990 Ed was the West Coast sales representative for Riddell, covering 13 states including seven NFL teams, the PAC 10, and numerous colleges and high schools in his territory. He returned to the Cleveland Browns as the equipment manager from 1990 to 1995. Ed continued as the head equipment manager of the Baltimore Ravens from 1996 until his retirement in 2012. In 2015, he briefly worked for the UFC, setting up their equipment room in Las Vegas. On June 30, 2022, Ed was recognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame for its first ever Award of Excellence, which salutes outstanding contributors to the game of football. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Jason Carroll (Melanie) of Concord Township, OH, Adam Carroll (Sharon) of Willowick, OH; stepchildren Steven Redmer (Lisa) of Manchester and Wendy Lee (Ryan) of Urbana; brothers Peter Michael Carroll (Carol) of Highland Heights, OH and James Carroll of OH. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brother Robert Carroll and stepdaughter, Sarah Rupp. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 3 to 6pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, with funeral services beginning at 6pm.
