How incredibly sad to lose a father this close to Father's day. Lewy Body Dementia took my father also. It is an experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. My father was 79 also when God freed him from this insidious illness. I wish all that loved your father peace. He brought me many hours of enjoyment with his craft. Take care and may God comfort all who loved him.

I grew up in a small house with seemingly paper-thin walls. During my high school years after I had gone to bed, I could hear the tv on in my parents' bedroom as my dad watched "WKRP". The theme music stuck in my head. I didn't watch the show at the time. I didn't start watching reruns until the mid 1990s. It was such a funny show, and I can't think of a better actor to play salesman Herb Tarlek. He was cocky in his plaid suits, and the type of guy no one would want as a co worker, but also had a touch of vulnerability. My favorite episode which centered around Herb Tarlek was where the reality tv show crew showed up at his house on Sunday morning and chronicled the activities of his family, how they pretended to attended church and drove erratically around the neighborhood to lose the tv crew. RIP, Frank.. The world has lost a talented actor.

Our condolences and prayers for the family of Mr. Bonner. We fondly recall "Herb Tarlek" - he was a hoot, especially in his loud plaid suits with the bell-bottom pants that were so popular in the day. I'll bet nothing would make Mr. Bronner happier than for you all to share the gift he left you - watch his re-runs together now and enjoy a few good belly-laughs. That would probably be music to his ears. May Frank Bonner rest in peace, and we thank him for all the laughter he gave us. God bless.

Condolences to the family. WKRP was one of funniest sitcoms I have ever seen. The Thanksgiving program where they dropped turkeys out of the helicopters had me literally rolling on the floor in tears of laughter. Thanks for being such a special part of my memories by being so funny on WKRP.

I watched WKRP in Cincinnati because of the hilarious Herb Tarlek character played by Frank Bonner. I thought he was the best character on that show, followed by Les Nesman played by Richard Sanders. It was the eccentric characters they played that made them so funny.
