Franklin Delano Higgins

Franklin "Frank" Delano Higgins, 81, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on August 8, 1943, in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Lester and Maude Higgins. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Sandra Joan Higgins. Frank worked as a machinist with Black and Decker for many years. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, old western movies, and The 700 Club. Some favorite memories include picking crabs and drinking beer with his family. Surviving him in addition to his wife are daughters: Brenda Sue Reese and husband Roger, Connie Lynne Koermer and husband Jeff, Lisa Ann Schneider and husband Brian, grandchildren: Lee, Garrett, Connor, Shannon, Alex, and Hailey, 5 great-grandchildren, and brother: Donald Higgins of Green Mountain, NC. Frank was predeceased by his siblings: R.C., Burnard, Paul, and Larry Higgins, Ailene Robinson, Delores Wagner, Catherine Yingling, Hilda Robinson, and Ameila Price. The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 28, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, at 10 am.
