Garnett Suddath

Garnett Jean Suddath, 73, of Westminster, died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at home. Born October 15, 1951 in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of the late Russell Myers and Katherine Myers (Gamber). She was the beloved wife of Robert Suddath, who she married on March 6, 1971. In addition to her husband, Garnett is survived by her daughters and sons in-law, Shanna and Frank Grimes, and Shara Suddath and Chris Kindt, and her grandchildren Noah and Claire Grimes, and Josephine, Caroline, and Emmett Kindt. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Russell and Frances Myers, and brother Charles (Skip) Myers, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ed and Mary Jo Suddath, Dave and Beverly Suddath, and Diane Hersh, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Garnett had been retired from the Carroll County Public Schools Birth to Five Program since 2018. She loved baking, reading, spending time with her family, and being a devoted Nana to her five grandchildren. The family will host a celebration of life on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 2:00-5:00pm at the Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department reception hall, 1320 West Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in her memory to the Maryland SPCA (https://www.mdspca.org), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org), or Maryland Special Olympics (https://support.specialolympics.org).
