Howard Clegg

Howard Jackson Clegg, 87, of Westminster, died Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Bethania Homecare. Born February 26, 1938 in Browntown, VA, he was the son of the late Ulysses Jackson Clegg and Geraldine Henry. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Carolyn Lee (Cook) Clegg. He retired from Black and Decker. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters Janet Sanders of Taneytown; Debbie Wantz (Leander) of Pleasant Valley; Donna Heartley of Summerville, SC and Karen Dohrenwend (Mike) of Madison, AL; siblings Bobby Clegg (Joyce), Ray Clegg, Shirley Ann Highlands, Kathy Cropper, Tammie McIntyre, Jane Grove and Millie Cannon, grandchildren Amy Harryman, Jesse Smith, Russell Wantz, Jason Wantz, Heather Bisson, Jennifer Young and Nick Fox, great-grandchildren Dominic, Connor, Ryder, Brooklyn and Emmalyn. He was predeceased by siblings Junior Clegg, Ronnie Clegg, Ginger Reardon and Eddie Clegg. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Stone Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
