John Michael "Mickey" Iafrate

John Michael "Mickey" Iafrate, 71, of Manchester, MD passed away on August 19, 2023 at his home in Manchester, MD. Born October 4, 1951 in Queens Village, NY, he was the son of the late Philip and Marion (Humair) Iafrate. Mickey was a long-time member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Chapter 9127 in Manchester, MD. Mickey was employed by K&H Painting, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed going to the Hampstead Senior Center to play cards and bingo, and playing Pinochle at the Westminster Senior Center on Fridays. He loved going to breakfast at Spargos in Manchester. Husband of Carole (nee Cooke); father of Philip Iafrate and the late Brian Iafrate; grandfather of Kylie and Jayden; brother of Jeanne Schifano of Lyndhurst, NJ, Philip Iafrate of Nutley, NJ, and the late Karen Geisler; brother-in-law of Bob (Shirley) Cooke of New Oxford, PA, Jeff (Sharon) Cooke of Gettysburg, PA, Suzanne Carroll of Littlestown, PA, the late Timothy Cooke, David Cooke, Ed Carroll, and Michael Schifano. Mickey is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Visitation will be held at Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, MD on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 3 until 7 pm. Service will be held at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Manchester, on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 10:30 am. Interment private.
