John was a good good friend at Springfield College. Through college we drove back and forth as I lived in Bethesda, MD and he in Westminster.
Great sense of humor and he was just fun to be around. He loved hearing my stories and anecdotes. He played up his "country" background but he was super smart and cared a great deal about everyone.
I´m sitting here crying, I guess caught off guard by the news. I´m so glad we were friends and I miss him already.

I spent many moments with my friend John Magee when we were both playing in two different bands first The
Dimensions then The Light In The Dark
We even had our name the Dimensions in lights on the marquee at the old State theater on Main Street for the teen hop. I remember we wore yellow shirts and Paisley ties man we thought we were something.
What great fun and excitement and we even made a little cash for such a wonderful time
There are oodles of band memories and I was so glad to be a part of John´s life
If there is a rock `n´ roll heaven, John will surely be there.

John was a very nice person and fun to be around. I remember when John was coaching football at South Carroll and later at Liberty. I was the announcer for the games and after the game He, Bruce Cowan, Bob Burger and I would go to PJ's Pub and "replay" the game and have a great time together. Although I lost contact with these guys, they were good men and John was so funny. I'm sorry for the family's loss.

Coach Magee was truly one of my favorite coaches. I liked him as a person and a coach. He was a true leader that led by example. John knew how to make a connection with everyone. He had a great sense on humor and loved laughing at us on the football field, while trying to somehow still be serious for the tough coach Parker. It´s a shame time moves on and life puts space between people who helped shape who we are. Coach thanks for being a leader to me.

My heart aches for all who were fortunate enough to have had John touch their lives. John and I always teased each other about be siblings because of the extreme closeness of our parents. (our Mother's even had their baby showers together when they were carrying John and I) and our birthdays were only 1 week apart! God rest your soul, little brother and you will be missed by so many. What an amazing soul he was!

John and I attended Westminster HS together. I was a year behind John. We did play in a band together called The Light and the Dark. John played bass, I played drums, Bill Thomas played lead guitar, Stuart McClure was the rhythm guitarist, John Rinehart was our organist and Albert French was our vocalist. We had some great times. My Father was good friends with John´s Father. I lost contact with John over the years but have so many great memories. May you rest in peace John.
