Josue C. Laredo M.D.

On February 23, Josue C. Laredo , M.D., 90, a member of St. Agnes parish died at home of natural causes. He was born in the Philippines and obtained his bachelor's degree and Doctor of Medicine degree from Manila Central University. It was during medical school that he met his wife, Cristina Isidro, also a medical student at the same university. After graduation from medical school, both were married and came to Baltimore, MD for their medical training in 1960. After completing his General Surgery training in Baltimore, MD, and Chicago, IL, he became an Emergency Department physician at Baltimore County General Hospital in Randallstown, MD and started his private medical practice in Hampstead, MD. He was Director of the Emergency Department from 1972 to 1982 and continued to practice medicine in Hampstead, MD until his retirement in 2018. After retiring, Josue continued to reside in Catonsville, MD. He is survived by his three children, Maria Bibart of Catonsville, MD, Jose Laredo of Reisterstown, MD, and Dr. James Laredo of Vienna, VA, and five grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 11am to 1pm at the Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home, 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228, where a funeral service will follow at 1pm.
