Marian I. Auchey

Marian I. Auchey, 85, of Hanover, PA, entered God's eternal care, Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the Hanover Hall Nursing Center, Hanover, PA. Born September 1, 1937, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Peterman and Elma (Runk) Smith Peterman. Marian was the loving wife of the late Glenn H. Auchey, Sr., with whom she shared 59 years of marriage until his passing on October 28, 2013. Marian was a member of St. Paul's Dubs Church, Hanover, PA. Marian was a florist and owner of Auchey's Fairview Greenhouses with her husband Glenn for over 30 years in Hanover, PA. Marian enjoyed planting flowers, being a homemaker, playing cards, bowling, and spending time with her family. Marian is survived by her children, Penny L. Shetter and husband Don of Shippensburg, PA, Bonnie S. Dehoff and husband Jake of Hanover, PA, Debra A. Dubs and husband Gerald of Spain, Glenn H. Auchey, Jr. of Hanover, PA, and Lorie C. Arndt and companion Eric Krenzer of Hanover, PA; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Burnell Peterman, Arlean Peterman, Levere Peterman, and Martha Peterman; and her step siblings, Florence Smith, Norman Smith, Viola Mae Smith Clauser, Wilford Smith. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Marian will be held 11 AM, Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Sue Fritz officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11 AM, Monday, August 21, 2023, at the funeral home.
