Olive H. Miller

Olive Hoff Miller, age 97, of Westminster, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Lorien-Taneytown. Born August 31, 1926 in New Windsor, MD, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Lonie Lambert Hoff. She was the wife of James H. Miller, who predeceased her in 1996. She was a 1944 graduate of New Windsor High School. Before retiring, she was employed by T.W. Mathers and SERRV International. Olive was a member of St. Benjamins Lutheran Church, Westminster and the Women of the ELCA. She volunteered at Carroll Lutheran Village, SERRV and On Earth Peace. Her family would like to thank the staff at Lorien-Taneytown for their support and help these last 10 months. Surviving are her daughter, Alice Moore of Winter Park, FL, son, J. Keith Carlisle and wife Nancy of Union Bridge, MD; granddaughter, Ashley Gower and husband Tim; and precious great-granddaughters, Sadie Gower, and Macie to be born in March. She was predeceased by brothers, Francis and James Hoff; and sister, Dorothy Lease. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Benjamins Lutheran Church, 700 Kriders Cemetery Rd., Westminster, MD 21158.
