Robert Peregoy

Robert Lee Peregoy, 84, of Hanover, PA, formally of Westminster, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at UMPC Hanover Hospital. Born April 1, 1940 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Norman Ellsworth Peregoy and Rachel Fritz Peregoy. He was the loving husband of 65 years to Barbara Jean Peregoy. Robert was a Life-Long member of The American Legion Post 120 in Taneytown and a past commander and chaplain. He is survived by his daughter Patricia O'Tanger and husband Danny of New Oxford, PA, sister-in-laws Jeannine Peregoy and Ursula Peregoy; grandchildren Christina Peregoy and Tyler Henry of Hanover, PA, Robert and Katie Peregoy of Littlestown, PA, Benjamin and Tori Peregoy of Mechanicsburg, PA, Jennifer and Stephen Engelhardt of East Berlin, PA, Margaret O'Tanger and Jake Geiman of Gettysburg, PA, Danilee and Alyssa O'Tanger-Solomon of Hillsboro, OR and Curt Peregoy and Melissa Perkins of Westminster, MD; numerous great-grandchildren and sisters Evelyn Ellington of NC and Janice Smith of Taneytown, MD. He was predeceased by his three sons William Peregoy, Robert Wayne Peregoy and Richard Peregoy; grandson Daniel Jason Peregoy, brothers William Peregoy and Ralph Peregoy and sister Shirley. The family will receive friends from 9 -10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
