Shellman "Punky" Green

Shellman "Punky" Green, age 77, of Manchester, formerly of Taneytown, died on Monday, December, 4, 2023 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View. Born August 11, 1946, he was the son of the late Howard Arthur Sr. and Catherine Lucille (Snyder) Green. Punky loved listening to country music and car races on the radio. He also enjoyed country line dancing and being around people. He had special memories of the trips he took to Wheeling WV with his parents. Surviving are brothers, Howard A. Green, Sr. and wife Doris of Taneytown, and Ralph E. Green and wife Connie of Keymar; Sister-in-law Janet Green and several nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Robert H. Green. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 10-12 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon., with Pastor Steve Ostendorf officiating. Burial will follow at Grace U.C.C Cemetery, Taneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Punky's name to Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View, 3332 Main Street Manchester, MD 21102.
