Thomas Hackett Obituary

Thomas M. Hackett, Jr., 88, of Westminster, died Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Copper Ridge. Born November 3, 1936 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Thomas M. Hackett, SR. and Virginia Hackett. His wife Shirley Lee Hackett died November 6, 2014. Before retiring he was an Engineer with CLSI. He was a member of the Westminster Elks Lodge# 2277. He enjoyed traveling, golf, watching sports, eating crabs and spending time with family. He is survived by his children Cindy Potter (Stephen) and Martin W. Hackett (Amy), both of Westminster; sister Rita McMahon of Severna Park; grandchildren Todd Kollman (Kara), Bethany Reiter (Shawn), Brett Hackett and Paige Hackett; great-grandchildren Lillian, Riley and Brantley Reiter and Kayden Kollman. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sisters Joan Schneider and Betty Amantea and brother Dennis Hackett. Private graveside service will be held at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Westminster Elks Lodge# 2277, 538 Gorsuch Road, Westminster, MD 21157 or to BridgingLife and mailed to BridgingLife Development Office, 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
