William Frizzell Obituary

William Harry Frizzell, 75, of Mount Airy, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House. Born Nov. 4, 1935, in Watersville, he was the son of the late Truman A. and Hazel V. Haines Frizzell. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Louise Johnson Frizzell. He had worked for Donald VanSant building cabinets for 17 years and later worked as a welder at Westinghouse. He also rode in a truck with Harvey Myers for North and South Frozen Food Company. He enjoyed woodworking and restoring antiques. He belonged to the VFW in Oakland. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Terry and Kenneth Hamby, of Ellicott City, and Sherry and Albert Musgrove, of Mount Airy; brothers and sisters-in-law Kenneth and Rosalee Frizzell, of Westminster, and Robert Sr. and Sue Frizzell, of Mount Airy; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Walter and Gail Johnson, of Mesa, Ariz., and Gilbert Mayne Sr., of Mount Airy; a mother-in-law, Ruth Johnson, of Baltimore; grandchildren Edward Cason III and Melissa Caslow; and a great-grandson, Brian Hunter Blackburn. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Mayne; and a nephew, Gilbert Mayne Jr. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Mount Airy.
