William "Billy" Leroy Millberry transitioned from his physical presence on December 26 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was born on May 9, 1948 in Baltimore to Charles and Amelia "Junie" Millberry, both of whom are deceased. In 1976, he married the late Brenda LaRue Millberry and from that union, their daughter Danielle Delicia was born. Billy was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam era and was an active member of the American Legion Carroll Post #31. He was a machinist and worked at many companies such as Congoleum, Black & Decker, Woodstream, and Random House until his retirement in 1998. He loved all things sports and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. Known to many as "Burns", he had an infectious spirit and always a joke to make people laugh no matter the circumstances. He was loved by many and there was not a place he would go where someone didn't know him. He was a faithful Christian and member of Fairview United Methodist Church where he served on the Men's Board, Safety Committee, and the Usher Board. He loved to attend church with his brightly-colored suits with matching shoes and was known as the Steve Harvey of Westminster. In addition to his daughter Danielle, he is survived by his daughter Kimberly Chaney (Eric) of Martinsburg, WV, son Todd Johnson of Gettysburg, PA, daughter Tonjia Burton of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren Anthony Hackey, Chyanne Johnson, and Anthony Burton; brothers Donald Millberry, Douglas Millberry, and Bryant Millberry of Westminster, brother George Millberry of New Jersey, and sister Ruth Smith (Paul) of Westminster; mother-in-law Eleanor Moody of Atlanta GA, brothers-in-law Kenneth Morrison (Darlene) of Woodlawn, Wayne Morrison (Sharon), Jeff Moody, Rick Moody all of Westminster; and sister-in-law Shari Morris (Rick) of Atlanta GA; godchildren Andrea Mack and Joseph Brooks Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by sister Sylvia Millberry, brother David Millberry, and sister-in-law Robin Millberry. Due to the ongoning Covid-19 pandemic, services will be private for the immediate family only and held at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 1pm.
