Lisa Michelle Lambert Obituary
Lisa Michelle Maileilani Lambert, age 55, passed away at her home in Canyon Country, CA on Sunday, February 16, 2014 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born July 27, 1958 in San Francisco, CA.
She had studied at Santa Monica City College and was employed as the Ranch Manager at St. Bonnie's Animal Sanctuary in Canyon Country. She dedicated her life to rescuing animals and had a compassionate, generous spirit. She left an indelible mark on every life she touched, animal and human, working tirelessly in her quest to save abandoned or neglected dogs, cats, and horses. She had the greatest sense of humor and loved life to its fullest. Lisa never had a "bad day".
Lisa is survived by her wife April Grace Castleman of Canyon Country, CA; mother Ann Gray Lambert Winitsky and step-father Alex Winitsky of Beverly Hills, CA; sister Cindy Tiare Lambert of Santa Monica, CA; sister Laura Kanaina Lambert Bowden of San Diego, CA. She was.preceded in death by her father Charles David Kanaina Lambert and brother David Gray Kanaina Lambert.

A Memorial will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Robinson Ranch, 27734 Sand Canyon Rd, Canyon Country, CA 91387. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lisa's memory to Helping Hands and Hearts Foundation, Inc or St. Bonnie's Sanctuary/Lange Foundation.

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a year! I still think about you every day and I know you are still nearby when I see butterflies hanging around! We all miss you dearly, but we know you have a job to do up in heaven! Give all our dogs, cats, horses, bunnies, rooster, and furries that we have lost over the years big hugs! Lisa, we miss you so much! We think about you every day! You touched our lives in a way that no other ever will! On the day you entered heaven to be with all of your loving friends, family and furry family members who went before you.. there was a beautiful butterfly sitting in our yard! It stayed and stayed and just turned around as if to say "Look at me!!! I am here with you!" Now, everywhere we go, we see a butterfly and think of you! I know you are in a better place with many who need you there too! It doesn't make it any easier down here because we all miss you terribly! We all know that one day we will meet with you again, which does give us some peace! And, until that day comes, we will try to give to this world just like you did! You have been such an inspiration to so many people, and you continue to inspire us all to this day! Thank you for all of the love, friendship, hugs, smiles, and stubbornest, funniest times that we shared!

Honey I am starting to find my way out of the deep sorrow and can actually get through a day without tears. I got a sponsor and our AA Girls are taking care of me,I am going to more meetings and attending as many functions I can. I feel so much closer to GOD now and that is a blessing you gave me through your death. I talk to you everyday and also to GOD. When the pain was unbearable I knew I had to ask for the strength to get through this grief and I am finding my way through it. I will love and miss you forever and a day baby but I will make an effort to find happiness and sunshine in my honor of you.Please come to me as you can I need to feel your presence. I know you are in a beautiful place surrounded by love from both 2 legged and 4 legged beings.

Lambchop I miss you I'm sorry I didn't see you more often. You meant the world to me. I found this video you did for St Bonnie's and the opening and closing of the barn door just shreds me. ... And the the look on your face when you are trying to speak and the horse is trying to put in his two cents by talking over you. I love that face. I'm hoping to get to know April better. I see why you loved her so much. She is quite something. I would have loved to have been there to see such an enduring love come into your life. She makes me feel close to you. Honey yesterday was the first day that I have had since your passing that wasn't completely filled with sorrow. I had lunch with our dear friend Helen and dinner with Deb and Allison.
