Marty Mays Sr. Obituary

Marty Dale Mays Sr., 51, of Liberty, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Casey County Hospital.

Born Aug. 11, 1964, in Casey County, he was the son of Foster Mays and the late Jean Cotton Cooper.

He was a devoted husband, father and of Baptist faith. Marty also loved his animals, fishing and driving his tractors. In years past, he enjoyed drag racing. He was a carpet installer for more than 30 years.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Janie Romans Mays; a son, Marty (Rachael) Mays Jr. of Liberty; four daughters, Christy Mays (Todd) of Liberty, Kelly (Dwayne) Mays of Winchester, Jessica (Clayton) Spradlin of Bethelridge and Shannon Mays (Buddy Smith) of Liberty; three sisters, Lora (David) Guy of Liberty, Donna Jean Herring of Berea and Kathy Bean of Paris; and 14 grandchildren.

Cremation rights were honored by McKinney-Brown Funeral Home of Liberty. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with a guestbook available at www.mckinneybrown.com.
