Aaron Robb Obituary

Aaron Robb, 56

Aaron Robb, age 56 a life-long Coeur d'Alene resident and successful business man died Saturday, Sept 16, 2023

Aaron was born in CdA on December 2, 1966 to Tom & Mary (Blair) Robb. He was the youngest of their 2 boys.

Aaron graduated from Gonzaga Prep High School and was a member of The 1982 State Championship Football Team. He graduated from The University of Notre Dame and was a member of The 1988 National Championship Football Team. He also was a member of The Notre Dame Monogram Club.

Growing up Aaron was continually getting bruised & battered playing sports with his older brother Mike. They had wars in the front yard. Many of them. It made Aaron tougher & better.

Aaron owned & operated the Cd'A Iron Horse Bar & Grill for the past 30 years. His work tribe of employees, vendors, and regular customers were all like family. Many memories and friendships were made in the years Aaron was there.

Aaron developed his business acumen and work ethic from his parents, Tom and Mary. More importantly, they instilled in him the importance of family. His older brother Mike was Aaron's biggest fan; likewise, Aaron looked up to Mike. Aaron could often be heard speaking fondly of his big brother.

Aaron, aka "Porkchop" treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. Once you were in his inner circle you were in it for life as he trusted you as family. He was very fortunate to have many lifelong friends. He always wanted to know about you first before he would share his news. He never spoke down to anyone. He had a quiet demeanor unless you knew him. He was a caring and a gentle soul. He had a great sense of humor. He let his actions speak louder than his words. He could be quick with a verbal jab and delivered it with his engaging smile. He was a legendary storyteller around the campfire.

He was an avid reader and deep thinker who was always reading a book. He was a huge fan of the Peanuts Comic Strip, he collected Peanuts memorabilia, and every holiday card he sent had a Peanuts theme. He loved Nature, hiking, camping, boating, Prichard, ID, and hanging out with friends.

Just a good person, humble, & kind with a quiet confidence & quiet swagger. He will be missed by many.

Aaron was preceded in death by his dad, Tom Robb, his Uncle Gary & Aunt Gloria.

He is survived by his mom Mary, his brother Mike, sister-in-law Patty, nephew David & niece Abby, Aunt Debbie & Uncle Kim Smith, Aunt Gail Robb, cousins: Kris (Steve) Swanson, Terry (Lisa) Robb, and Shelby, Connor, & Sarah Smith.

Aaron loved animals, in lieu of flowers please send a donation in his name to Kootenai Humane Society.

A memorial will be held Sun, Oct. 22nd, 2-5pm - Iron Horse Downtown CdA

I played at Central Valley in B-Ball. Struggled to like him then because I could never stop him! Became friends after graduation. I looked up to Aaron. Such a kind man. And I loved his sense of humor. Easily one of the best all around athletes in the history of the Greater Spokane League.
