Cassandra Aileen Orjala, 75

Cassandra Aileen Orjala, a radiant soul, danced her way into the stars on November 1, 2023, at the age of 75.



Born on February 2, 1948, in Kentfield, California to William and Nancy Seley, Cassandra was the eldest of three children. She grew up in the beautiful Bay Area, graduating from Mercy High School in Burlingame. Her twenties were spent between San Francisco and Seattle embracing the vibrant cultures and experiences these cities had to offer while working as a cosmetologist before moving to Idaho around 1981.



In her nearly 40-year career, Cassandra embraced her calling with a heart full of compassion. Starting with massage and then transitioning to colon hydrotherapy, she touched the lives of thousands with her healing hands and nurturing nature. Her innate desire to help others through holistic means was a testament to her caring spirit.



Cassandra had a love for the delights of the natural world. She adorned her life with sparkling things, crystals, and enchanting artifacts. Her home was a testament to her whimsical spirit. A dedicated gardener, she coaxed her backyard to bloom and thrive. She found solace in watching the seasons change, and with each new season came the holidays that she loved to celebrate.



Her zest for life extended far beyond her enchanting collections. Cassandra loved to travel, creating memories with her mother and sister that she cherished. She also loved to dance. She shined brightest while dancing.



Cassandra's greatest love was reserved for her children, sons Teuvo Orjala (Ali Orjala) and Kailas Orjala (Dani Orjala), and her cherished grandchildren, Jude, Riah, and Elowen. She was an extraordinarily accepting mother, encouraging her boys to be their authentic selves and opening her heart and home to their friends when they needed it most.



Cassandra was preceded in passing by her father, William Seley. She is survived by her loving mother, Nancy Seley, her sister, Suzanne Seley, her brother, Mark Seley (Sue Mikel), her children and her grandchildren.



In her final years, Cassandra was blessed with great support and love from friends. Many helped maintain her beautiful garden, ensuring it continued to flourish with life and love. Special thanks are extended to Phil Spiegel for many miles driven back and forth to Seattle treatments, Mark and Sue for a Seattle home and countless meals, and Chris Lovejoy who was a loving friend, spending many hours with Cassandra in her last weeks.



A celebration of Cassandra's radiant life will take place on Saturday, November 11th, at 10 am at Unity Center of Spiritual Growth, located at 4465 N 15th St in Coeur d'Alene.



Rest in peace, dear Cassandra. May your soul sparkle and dance among the stars, surrounded by the enchanting beauty you loved so dearly.
