Chelsea Lynn Bowmer, 33
Chelsea Lynn Bowmer, age 33, passed away on November 30, 2024 in Hayden, Idaho. Chelsea was born on September 6, 1991 to Craig Bowmer and Stephanie Larson Mokry in Spokane, Washington. Chelsea attended schools in Coeur d'Alene and graduated from Lakeside High School in Plummer in 2010. She went on to further her education at North Idaho College.
Chelsea worked mainly in food services, her last job being at Buffalo Wild Wings. She enjoyed sports as a student, along with camping, swimming, and outdoor activities in general. An avid reader, she particularly loved the Harry Potter series. She loved playing cards and was a favorite auntie among her nieces and nephews.
Chelsea attended Sanders Community Church as a child, and then Candlelight Christian Fellowship when the family moved to Coeur d'Alene. One summer, she won the award for bringing the most friends to Vacation Bible School. She recently attended the Bonhoeffer movie and was profoundly moved by its message of peace and justice, and resistance to racism.
Chelsea is survived by her father and mother; her stepmother, Rhonda Williams; stepfather, Val Mokry; her siblings: Trevor Bowmer and Austin Bowmer, Debbie Jo Williams, Sheldon Williams, Ryan Williams, Nova Williams, Mason Williams, and Jade Mokry; grandmothers: Marilyn Larson of Post Falls, and Anita Jenkins of Hayden; along with aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Simon. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Hank Larson and Royal Bowmer.
Two services for Chelsea will be held. The first memorial service will be at 5:00PM, Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Longhouse in Worley, Idaho (160 S. Mitch Michael Dr. Worley, Idaho 83876). The second memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at The Altar Church (901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83814). Pastor Daniel Willms will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Plummer. Memorial gifts may be directed to the Spokane Humane Society (6607 N. Havana St. Spokane, Washington 99217).
