Deborah Goetze Obituary

Deborah Jean Goetze, 74

Our exceptional Deborah Goetze transitioned to The Light on October 29, 2025. Deborah was full of empathy, kindness, and love. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was born in Burbank, CA on November 14, 1950. Deborah grew up in South Pasadena, CA. She graduated from Cal Poly in 1972 and stayed in San Luis Obispo, CA until she moved to Kooskia, ID and married her husband, Bob in 1985. They came to Coeur d'Alene, ID in 1988, when son, Michael was born.

Deborah was truly beautiful inside and out. She was intelligent, full of curiosity, and very creative. Deborah loved dancing. She was incredible as she moved, exuding grace and passion. She also loved nature and her walks around Tubbs Hill and points east and west.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Michael; sister, Jacalyn; and brother, Gary. Preceding her in death are her mother, Jean; father , Richard; brother, Rick; and sister, Teri.

She endured her long struggle with cancer with grace and dignity. She was well cared for and loved by her doctors, nurses, and medical providers. Deborah brought wisdom, beauty, and joy to many people. She is greatly loved and missed.
