I was shocked to hear of my friend's passing. Only a couple of months ago, we spoke on the phone about a number of things, and he seemed to be doing well. He told me at the time that he planned on hawking until the end, and we planned on spending some time talking about Washington falconry history. On a personal level, he was always kind and considerate, a perfect gentleman. One of the originals in falconry circles, he'll be missed.
