Mark Meyer Obituary

Mark Meyer, 60

Mark Stephen Meyer passed away on September 17, 2025 in Seattle, WA, at the age of 60, after a battle with cancer. Mark was a familiar figure in the Capital Hill neighborhood of Seattle, known to many for his sociability, and kindness. While Mark's life was marked by challenges with addiction, he was deeply valued by his close family members, and those in the community who saw his wonderful sense of humor and adventure.

Mark grew up in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and graduated from Coeur d' Alene High school in 1983. He was very athletic and enjoyed skiing, horseback riding and sports. While in college, he served in the Army National Guard reserves. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho and held several sales jobs after graduating. He is survived by his sisters, Helen Fausett (Lowell) of Corvallis, OR, Margi Kronk (Joe) of Gardnerville, NV and a brother James Meyer of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents John B. Meyer and Marguerite Meyer, his brother John Meyer and sister Cathy Meyer.

Mark touched many lives and will be remembered by the staff and patrons at Wintonia Community Housing and by the many friends made along the way. A private memorial will be held at his sister's home in Corvallis, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Catholic Community Services of Western Washington (CCSWW.org) in Mark's honor.
