Maureen Mackesy Obituary

Maureen May Mackesy, 88

Maureen May Mackesy (nee Bolton), 88, of Preston, England, passed away on February 12,

2024, in Post Falls, Idaho. She was born on May 18, 1935.

Maureen was a dedicated homemaker and also worked part-time in administration at an

automobile dealership.

She was a beloved member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where

she found solace and community while serving as a deacon.

Maureen enjoyed spending her free time gardening and practicing needlepoint, hobbies that

brought her great joy. Most days she and her husband enjoyed spending time visiting

people who were homebound or in the hospital.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Mackesy, her daughter Dawn Pohl, son-in-law

Andrew Pohl, son Mark Ford, son John Mackesy, daughter-in-law Dawn Mackesy, and

grandchildren Stephanie, AJ (Jeanne), JJ (Julia), and Isabella. Maureen was preceded in death

by her sons Robert M Ford and James S Ford.

A memorial service to celebrate Maureen's life is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers,

contributions can be made to Hospice of North Idaho.

The English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is assisting the family with the

arrangements.
