Michael Weir Obituary

Michael Duane Weir, 61

It is with tremendous sadness that we share the passing of Michael Duane Weir, 61, of Hayden, Idaho, who died of a heart attack on August 30, 2025.

Michael was born on November 1, 1963, in Santa Ana, California, to Duane and Joanne Weir. From an early age, he brought energy, humor, and kindness into the lives of those around him.

Michael was a dedicated lawyer whose sharp mind and sense of justice guided his career and earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his work, he built his life around family. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his sons, Nicholas, Jeffrey, and Christopher; beloved daughter-in-law, Katarina; his four sisters, Charlene, Suzanne, Jane, and Tammi; his parents; and many treasured nephews and nieces. Among his greatest joys was being a grandfather to Bodin and Lucille, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

His family and friends will remember him for his quick wit, generous spirit, infectious laughter, and his tremendous love and loyalty.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Saturday, September 6, at 3:00 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, 373 E Hayden Ave, Hayden, ID 83835. A reception will follow. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably.
