Albert Thomas Obituary
Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1954 until 1956. He was employed as a firefighter at the Bainbridge Naval Training Center and the Aberdeen Proving Ground. Albert was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD, the Jerry Skrivanek V.F.W. Post No. 8185 of Port Deposit, MD, the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD, the Havre de Grace Elks Lodge No. 1564 of Havre de Grace, MD, and the Water Witch Fire Company, having been a member since 1949, and served as fire chief from January 1, 1960 until December 31, 1965. Albert also served as a member of the Port Deposit Town Council.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his loving companion, Sylvia Eney; brother, Edwin L. Thomas and wife, Anne; and niece, Brooke Iley and husband, Glen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Water Witch Fire Company or the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
