Eileen Lucille Stevens (Robison) of Elkton, MD was born April 14, 1926 in Omak, WA. to Bertha Elizabeth Robison (Brubaker) and Floyd W. Robison. She passed away on Nov. 27, 2021 at the age of 95.
Eileen was a retired pediatric nurse at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Her dream to become a nurse began during WWII in a Veteran's Hospital in Richmond, VA. Although it was delayed, she never gave up, finally fulfilling her desire to help children, and graduated from nursing school in her early 40's. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, was an avid reader, a talented artist, an amazing seamstress, and a huge animal & nature lover. She loved birds, enjoyed laughing uproariously at the silliest things, and absolutely adored her sweet dog Venus, who misses her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence Stevens, her son James Paul and daughter Catherine Elaine Kerr, and her son-in-law Charles T. DeSocio Sr. She was also predeceased by siblings Loren Robison, Leland Robison, and Retha Carlson (Robison).
Eileen is survived by her youngest brother Bob Robison Sr., her beloved daughter & best friend Marilyn DeSocio, her grandchildren Charles DeSocio Jr., Christi DeSocio, Michael Kerr, David Kerr, Linda Bauguess, and Stephanie Kerr. She is also survived by great grandchildren Talia DeSocio, Charles DeSocio III, Jacklyn Duggan, Kayla, Riley, and Owen Kerr, and Shannon, Morgan, and Zach Bauguess. She had 4 great-great grandchildren as well - Haley, Aubrey, and Cori Duggan, and Jaci Bauguess.
Known affectionately to just about everyone as "MomMom," Eileen was strong willed, determined, smart as a whip, witty, beautiful, so young at heart, and most of all kind, compassionate, and extremely generous. Her amazing sense of humor and her playful, very silly antics are probably what her family misses about her the most. MomMom is especially grieved by her small, immediate family, whom she shared a home with and now feel an immense sense of loss. Eileen absolutely loved living with her daughter & grandchildren after becoming a widow, and it was because of MomMom that they all came together again as adults, and stayed together. She made it well known every single day just how much she loved & appreciated each of them.
Eileen's very long life just makes her family miss her that much more, as they do not even know a life without MomMom. Her close knit household, consisting of her daughter, Marilyn, grandchildren, Christi Eileen and Charles Jr., great granddaughter, Talia, and her ever faithful dog Venus, are all utterly heartbroken without her. MomMom was a total legend who lived through the Great Depression, WWII, and later the Covid Pandemic. She left behind an amazing legacy in her family and she will, never, ever be forgotten.
