Marian Dean "Deanie" Creswell

1930 - 2025

Marian Dean Creswell (Deanie) passed away on July 12, 2025 peacefully at the Calvert Manor Rehabilitation and Care Center. Marian was born on April 16, 1930 in Port Deposit, MD, where she lived all her life, to the late William Roland Creswell and Elizabeth Ferguson Creswell. She was 95 years old.

Marian retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs hospital as a registered nurse in 1985. Not only in her professional life, but in her personal life, she took care of other people and family. She was definitely devoted to her family and God.

Marian loved feeding the birds, nurturing plants, flowers and sick or stray animals. As a member of the Tome United Methodist Church, where she attended most of her life, she volunteered for many committees and functions.

She loved and cherished her nephew and nieces as if they were her own. She basically was a second mother to them.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her brother, Roland Delmar Creswell, sister-in-law, Catherine Lindamood Creswell, and great-niece, Jaime Haley.

Marian is survived by her beloved nephew and nieces, Jerry Creswell, Sharon Creswell, Classon (Robert), Linda Creswell Sheetz, Janice Creswell Hall (Richard), Catherine Creswell Valdivia, and Lydia Creswell Gambill, as well as numerous great nephews and great nieces.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of the Asbury Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
